Jones Peach Orchard
Home grown, fresh, juicy peaches have delighted Millington residents for over 60 years. Located in south Millington, the 125-acre Jones Peach Orchard was established in 1940 and harvested its first crop in 1942.
Everyone can enjoy picking his or her own Delicious Georgia Belles or Elberta peaches fresh from the tree. Pick your own peaches and nectarines every summer at Jone's Orchard on Highway 51 North. Just follow the signs.
The Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park
Located just west of Millington at 910 Riddick, this state park is bordered by the Mississippi River. A good portion of this 13,467-acre park is bottomland hardwood forest of large oak, cypress and tupelo. The park also contains two lakes, many miles of hiking trails, and the Meeman Museum and Nature Center. There is a boat ramp on the Mississippi River. Deer, turkey, beaver and some 200 species of birds can be found in the park. Catch largemouth bass off the fishing pier.
This park offers a number of special events during the year including a wildflower walk, pontoon tours and campfire programs, fishing rodeos, and nature hikes. Visitors may stay in cabins, may rent a campsite or a group camping area. Memphis Motorsports Park
Racing enthusiasts will love Memphis Motorsports Park. Located at 5500 Victory Lane on the south side of Millington, the park offers action-packed excitement, both amateur and professional, at three different race tracks on 400 acres.
The action includes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly 200 (June), the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series O’Reilly Mid-South Nationals (Sept.), and the NASCAR Busch Series Sam’s Town 250 (Oct.).
Memphis Motorsports Park has established itself as one of the most popular and versatile racing facilities in the country, playing host to more than 200 events a year March-November.

NSA Mid-South Naval Base
Millington is honored to be the home of the world's largest inland Navy Base, with over 5,000 military personnel, civilian employees and civilian contractors. On display at the base are both Blue Angel and fighter jets. Military personnel and retirees enjoy the commissary. For many years the residents of Millington have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship of a civilian/military airport facility.
The Naval Support Activity Mid-South is host command to 31 Department of Defense activities at the 1600 acres installation. It also supports approximately 40,000 retirees in the area. Some of the commands include the Navy Personnel Command, Navy Manpower Analysis Center, Navy Recruiting Command, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Finance Center, and Navy Personnel Research Studies and Technology.
Old Millington Vineyard & Winery
Old Millington Vineyard and Winery offers a selection of grape and fruit wines. Grapes were first grown there in 1995 and the winery became open to the public in 2000. The winery is at 6748 Old Millington Road. Phone (901) 873-4114
USA Baseball Stadium
Many of Major League Baseball's biggest hitters today learned the game at USA Stadium, at 4351 Babe Howard Boulevard. The stadium is the host to numerous tournaments each year.
Many different foreign countries have played baseball games in USA Stadium. A 2002 series is being planned. Countries who have played in Millington include Cuba, Japan, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Nicaragua, Korea, Italy, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, China, Mongolia, USSR, New Zealand, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Aruba.
The American Legion, AAU, NABF, and the Junior College World Series are just some of the championships that crowds have cheered for in Millington. Many college coaches have coached in Millington.
