Christmas Parade

The holiday spirit comes alive and Santa Claus comes to Millington in the annual Christmas Parade held early in December each year.

Goat Days

The International Goat Days Festival draws crowds to experience family fun at this unique Tennessee festival, held at USA Stadium usually during the second weekend in September. There is plenty of toe-tapping blue grass music and good food at the annual event, which offers free admission.

Attendees can see many different goats as they watch goat contests, goat chariot races and a rodeo. Children will enjoy the goat petting zoo; the camping kids area, and of course, plenty of games and rides.

If you are competitive minded, enter the BBQ goat contest, the Dutch oven cooking contest, the chili cooking contest, the string band competition, the fishing rodeo, or even make a run for Ms. Nanny. You can even enter your goat in a contest to see who has the longest horns!

An educational experience for the whole family, the International Goat days offers a chance to learn more about goats, see and Indian Cultural Display and gristmill crushers. Visit displays of crafts, antique engines and equipment and antique tractors.

Memphis Motorsports Park at Millington

Racing enthusiasts will love Memphis Motorsports Park. Located at 5500 Victory Lane on the south side of Millington, the park offers action-packed excitement, both amateur and professional, at three different race tracks on 400 acres.

The action includes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly 200 (June), the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series O’Reilly Mid-South Nationals (Sept.), and the NASCAR Busch Series Sam’s Town 250 (Oct.).

Memphis in May Triathlon

In conjunction with neighboring Memphis' annual Memphis in May celebration, athletes enjoy competing at Edmund Orgill Park in Millington. This event also includes kids triathlon, mountain bike triathlon and expo.
