Fire

Millington Fire Department fights fires, assists in medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions through fire suppression, rescue, disaster preparedness, fire prevention and community education. The firefighters are continuously trained on the latest firefighting techniques.

Millington Fire Department operates three stations that protect a primarily residential area. The members are both paid and volunteer. The services include Fire, EMS, Haz-Mat, Search & Rescue, and Extrication.

Police

The Millington Police Department is located at 4836 Navy Road. Emergency Phone (901) 872-3333. Administration (901) 873-3340. Fax (901) 873-2161 The Millington Police Department Patrol Division watches over the city in three, eight-hour shifts. They answer calls, patrol Millington, handle traffic enforcement and accidents. The Millington Police Department has a response time of approximately 3 minutes to most regular calls. The state-certified officers have completed hundreds of hours of training.

The detective division of the Millington Police Department provides follow-up on incidents reported by the patrol division. In addition, they process prisoner booking information, act as a liaison to other agencies requesting information on suspects or incidents and testify in court and before the Grand Jury. They also are responsible for cellection and preservation of evidence.

The K-nine Division, including dog and handler, handles narcotic related incidents and assists with arrests for robberies.

In addition to the other divisions, the Millington Police Department also consists of volunteer, specially trained, reserve police officers. These officers handle special events, allowing the patrol officers to continue with their regular activities. They also assist by answering calls, enforcing traffic violations and patrolling the residential and business areas of Millington, as needed. Reserve officers complete a field training officer program and serve a minimum of 16 hours a month.

The Millington Police Department also offers a special service to residents (within the city limits) who are planning to be out of town. Simply stop by the department and submit a form and the department will keep a watch on your property while you are away.
