Housing

A variety of homes can be found throughout Millington's neighborhoods. The community is home to a number of retirees who enjoy a higher standard of living due to a more reasonable cost of housing.

While there is certainly something for everyone in the way of house prices, the housing market is still priced well below the national average. Pleasant Ridge subdivision with single-family homes on lots from 10,000 to 25,000 square feet offer a wide range of housing choices.

Millington has seen a tremendous boom in their housing market in recent years. Besides the charm of the city, growth has come from both the Navy's Bureau of Personnel moving from Washington to Millington and because Memphis is moving in their direction, giving people small-town living within easy commute of the big city.

With the average income on the U.S. Navy base now estimated at $50,000, new, upper-end houses are being built in the $150,000 - $250,000 price range to meet the needs of new residents.
