Shelby County, Tennessee, the county where Millington is located, is called 'America's Distribution Center'.

Millington has two distinctly different publicly owned business/industrial centers. The Millington Business Center is approximately 110 acres, and the West Tennessee Regional Business Center, approximately 1,900 acres. In addition to the publicly owned centers, there are several available tracts that are privately owned.

Combined with numerous other industrial properties, including large and small parcels, Millington provides a variety of locations and resources.

Approximately 1900 acres of Navy property and the former Memphis Naval Air Station airfield transferred to the Millington community. This property, now designated as the West Tennessee Regional Business Center, is expected to become a major employment center in Shelby County and the Memphis metropolitan area.

The center is located in the City of Millington just 6 miles north of the city limits of Memphis, Tennessee north of Navy Road and adjacent to the Canadian National-Illinois Central Railroad's mainline track which runs from Chicago to New Orleans. It is also adjacent to the Millington Municipal Airport. Both large and small tracts are available.

Visit the Millington Industrial Development Board website for more information.

Immediately available is a 180-acre Industrial Development Board tract. This 180 acres of relatively flat land is currently accessible from Dakar Street, a paved two-lane facility. Future access will be provided by the planned industrial access road known as West Union Extended, which has been designed as five-lane industrial access roadway. Currently under construction and scheduled for completion in November 2002, West Union Extended will provide the IDB Tract with direct access to Paul Barret Parkway (State Route 385), an Interstate equivalent four-lane, controlled access highway that serves as a connector between U.S. Highway 51 and Interstate Highway 40.

The Millington Business Center is a 110-acre master planned multi-use employment center. Situated to take full advantage of the business opportunities, abundant labor skills and workforce in the area, this Millington location enables businesses to maximize the benefits of the Memphis economy from a suburban location. The center includes tenants such as Ingram Micro's 600,000 sq. ft. distribution center, AGGREKO, and ABEC Industries.

The favorable local government tax structure, low utility rates, and a prime location near excellent transportation networks make the Millington Business Center an ideal choice for business.
