WaterThe City of Millington operates its own water treatment plant and maintains the highest level of water quality possible. Water quality consistently meets established standards for water quality set by the state of Tennessee. To acquire service or to have service disconnected, the water department business office is located at Millington City Hall, 7930 Nelson, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except on holidays. A service connection fee of $15 is required. For your convenience, payments may be made in person at city hall, deposited in the night depository in the lobby of City Hall, or mailed to P.O. Box 247, Millington, TN 38083. Questions regarding water bills should be directed to the water department business office at Millington water, sewer and sanitation rates are among the lowest in the state. The drinking water in Millington comes from a groundwater source supplied by a total of 6 wells. The department has developed a wellhead protection plan that has been approved by the State. Millington meets all of the EPA's health standards for safe drinking water by testing for over 70 possible contaminants. All the operators at the Millington Water Treatment Plant are certified by the State of Tennessee to maintain safe drinking water.
